Quality Control: How Every Megacore Reformer Gets Tested
Quality at Megacore is not a final check tacked onto the end of production. It is a four-stage system that starts with the raw material and ends with a pre-shipment review of your exact order. This page shows what gets inspected at each stage, the 12 points every finished unit must pass, the load and cycle testing behind our machines, and how independent inspectors are welcomed onto the floor. If you are building a business on these machines, you should know exactly how they are verified before they leave the factory. Everything here is documented, and the records are available to buyers on request.
The Four-Stage QC System
Stage 1 — Incoming Material QC
Steel, aluminum, springs, foam and vinyl are verified against supplier specs on arrival. Substandard material never enters the production floor, which is why we can guarantee consistency across large batches.
Stage 2 — In-Process Inspection
Dimensions, weld integrity, coating thickness and stitching are checked at set intervals during production — not just at the end. Problems are caught at the station where they happen, not after 500 units are built.
Stage 3 — Final Inspection
Every finished unit goes through the 12-point checklist below. If a unit fails any point, it's pulled off the line and corrected before it can be packed.
Stage 4 — Pre-Shipment Review
Before loading, your order is reviewed against the packing list — model, quantity, configuration, branding and batch test reports. This is also the stage where third-party inspectors can audit your goods.
The 12-Point Final Inspection Checklist
Frame weld integrity — visual and structural check of all weld points on rails, risers and legs.
Frame alignment & leveling — the machine must sit level on four points with no rock or twist.
Surface & coating finish — powder-coat thickness, adhesion and scratch resistance verified.
Carriage glide test — the carriage must travel the full rail length smoothly, without sticking or lateral play.
Spring calibration — tension checked against spec so resistance feels identical across units.
Rope & pulley function — ropes run freely, pulleys spin without
Stopper & safety engagement — stoppers lock firmly and release cleanly under load.
Hardware torque — all bolts and fasteners torqued to spec, no loose fittings.
Upholstery & stitching — seam strength, padding density and vinyl condition checked.
Load & balance test — unit tested under working load for stability and quiet operation.
Sharp edge & burr check — no exposed edges that could injure clients or staff.
Cleaning & packing readiness — machine cleaned, wrapped, and parts accounted for.
Who Owns Each Stage
Inspection only works when someone is accountable for it. Each stage has a named owner who signs off before the batch moves on, and the record stays with the order.That is also what makes an external audit straightforward: an inspector can follow a single unit back through every sign-off.

Commercial reformers live a hard life, with heavy daily use across many classes and years of service. Can I arrange third-party inspection before shipment?
Yes. We support pre-shipment inspection by SGS, BV or your own agent. Inspectors get access to finished units and batch records, and we schedule the visit around your timeline so the report arrives before payment is due.
What happens if a unit arrives damaged?
Photograph the unit and the packaging before disposing of anything, then report to us within the claim window agreed in your contract. We review the evidence and arrange replacement parts or units as agreed, following the process on our packaging and shipping page.
What warranty do you offer on commercial reformers?
All Megacore reformers carry a 3-year warranty on frame and parts. The exact terms are confirmed in your sales contract, and claims are handled directly by our after-sales team rather than through a middleman, so parts and answers move quickly.
