Quality Control
Quality Control: How Every Megacore Reformer Gets Tested
Quality at Megacore is not a final check tacked onto the end of production. It is a four-stage system that starts with the raw material and ends with a pre-shipment review of your exact order. This page shows what gets inspected at each stage, the 12 points every finished unit must pass, the load and cycle testing behind our machines, and how independent inspectors are welcomed onto the floor. If you are building a business on these machines, you should know exactly how they are verified before they leave the factory. Everything here is documented, and the records are available to buyers on request.
The Four-Stage QC System
Each stage has a defined owner and a written record. A unit that fails any stage is corrected before it can move forward, which is why we can stand behind batch consistency rather than sample-by-sample luck.
The system follows the machine from raw material to the loading dock, so nothing is left to check for the first time at the end.
- Stage 1 - Incoming material QC: steel, aluminum, springs, foam and vinyl verified against supplier specs on arrival
- Stage 2 - In-process inspection: dimensions, weld integrity, coating thickness and stitching checked at set intervals during production
- Stage 3 - Final inspection: every finished unit runs through the 12-point checklist below before it can be packed
- Stage 4 - Pre-shipment review: your order checked against the packing list for model, quantity, configuration, branding and batch test records
Who Owns Each Stage
Inspection only works when someone is accountable for it. Each stage has a named owner who signs off before the batch moves on, and the record stays with the order.
That is also what makes an external audit straightforward: an inspector can follow a single unit back through every sign-off.

The 12-Point Final Inspection Checklist
Every finished reformer is inspected against the same twelve points, regardless of model or order size. If a unit fails any point, it is pulled off the line and corrected before packing.
- 1. Frame weld integrity - visual and structural check of all weld points on rails, risers and legs
- 2. Frame alignment and leveling - the machine must sit level on four points with no rock or twist
- 3. Surface and coating finish - powder-coat thickness, adhesion and scratch resistance verified
- 4. Carriage glide test - the carriage must travel the full rail length smoothly, without sticking or lateral play
- 5. Spring calibration - tension checked against spec so resistance feels identical across units
- 6. Rope and pulley function - ropes run smoothly and pulleys spin without friction or noise
- 7. Stopper and safety engagement - stoppers lock firmly and release cleanly under load
- 8. Hardware torque - all bolts and fasteners torqued to spec, with no loose fittings
- 9. Upholstery and stitching - seam strength, padding density and vinyl condition checked
- 10. Load and balance test - unit tested under working load for stability and quiet operation
- 11. Sharp edge and burr check - no exposed edges that could injure clients or staff
- 12. Cleaning and packing readiness - machine cleaned, wrapped and all parts accounted for
Load, Cycle and Materials Testing
Commercial reformers live a hard life, with heavy daily use across many classes and years of service. Our testing program is designed around that reality rather than a showroom setting.
The tests below are run as part of production and, where a spec is unusual, as a dedicated evaluation before a full batch is committed.
Test
What it verifies
Why it matters
Static load test
Frame strength under heavy working load
Structural safety for users of all body weights
Cycle / endurance testing
Springs and glides under repeated use
Long-term reliability in high-traffic studios
Coating adhesion test
Powder-coat bonding strength
Finish survives years of cleaning products
Spring tension calibration
Resistance consistency
Identical feel across every reformer in a studio
Stitch and seam test
Upholstery durability
Padding holds up to daily class wear
Inspection Certificates and Reports
Every production batch is covered by a quality inspection certificate that records what was checked, the results and the batch reference. For our aluminum reformers, report GZHL2601000020601SP documents material quality, structural integrity and finished-product safety.
Copies are available to buyers on request, and the same documentation is shared with any third-party inspector you appoint. All Megacore reformers carry a 3-year warranty on frame and parts, with the full terms confirmed in your sales contract.
Third-Party Inspection and After-Sales
We regularly host pre-shipment inspections by SGS, BV or a buyer’s own agent. External inspectors get full access to the floor, finished units and batch records, and we coordinate the timing around your payment schedule.
If an issue arises after delivery, our after-sales team works directly with you to diagnose it and arrange replacement parts. There is no middleman between you and the maker, so answers and parts move faster.
- Independent inspection welcome before shipment, with no restriction on floor access
- 3-year warranty on frame and parts, terms set out in your contract
- Spare parts supplied from our own factory for ongoing maintenance
- Shipping-damage claims handled through the process on our packaging and shipping page
Warranty and Claims Handling
Warranty claims are handled by the same team that built the machine. Tell us the model, batch reference and the symptoms, and we diagnose against the production records before proposing a fix.
Where a part needs replacing, we ship from our own factory stock so a studio is not left waiting on a local dealer. The table sets out what each item covers.
